Project 064-ONC-34 Study
Diagnostic Test for Differentiating Benign and Malignant Pulmonary Nodules
Objective
Develop a blood-based test that distinguishes between benign and malignant lung nodules.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Patients with suspicious nodules detected via CT scan (with or without a history of cancer)
- Healthy volunteers for the control group
- Must provide informed consent
- Blood sample required
- Medical review and initial consultation with a pulmonologist

Oscillating Lung Expansion (OLE) Therapy in Patients with Bronchiectasis in a Home Care Setting
Protocol
BiWaze Clear_001Â Objective:Â To evaluate the effectiveness of the BiWaze Clear device in managing bronchiectasis symptoms through home-based therapy.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Confirmed diagnosis of non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis
- History of recurrent respiratory exacerbations:
- At least 1 exacerbation in the past 6 months, or
- At least 2 exacerbations in the past 12 months requiring medical intervention
- Ability to participate in home therapy using the BiWaze Clear device
Research Study P1-FAF-16
Evaluation of Tobacco Heating System (THS) in Smokers with COPD and Chronic Bronchitis
Objective
To assess whether the THS device can reduce coughing and be less harmful than conventional cigarettes in adult smokers with COPD and chronic bronchitis.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age 40 or older
- Diagnosed with COPD and chronic bronchitis
- Current smoker with a history of smoking for 10+ years
- Smoked an average of 10 cigarettes per day over the past year
- Coughs at least 10 times per hour during the day
- No cancer or cancer history in the past 5 years (except basal cell skin carcinoma)
